My Bio
29 years old, part-time customer support at a call center and part time "all of this other stuff". No art school experience, just personal practice and the occasional local life drawing class. Graduated from Arizona State University in 2007 with a degree in Architecture and promptly decided to never use it for anything again except to further my goal to draw werewolf cities and massive castles.

Hello again, everyone. The past few months have been much busier than I was expecting them to be. I got out of the hospital and instantly had to jump both into the busiest season of my day job (we're a holiday greeting card company, so we were doing 12-hour days, 6 days a week and sometimes longer) and finishing up a freelance map project at the same time, for a Call of Cthulhu themed game. I was also taking chemotherapy medication and doing radiation treatments every day of the week. Now that we've passed Christmas and New Years, the freelance projects are done, the holiday rush at work is done, and the medication and radiation are largely d

Oct 24 ...Just an update on myself, for any who are curious. First of all, it was my birthday yesterday! I'm 29 years old. They tried to strike me down, but I am still here, and more powerful than they ever could have imagined. (Did it ever bother anyone else than Obi Wan says that, and it's totally not even true?  He's not more powerful at all...he just stands around and flickers.) I'm fine now, health-wise. (The doctors are more cautious than I am, which is why I'm still being subjected to radiation and chemo every day for the next six weeks) I still have a big white scar running across the length of my head, and I still have all of my ha

I'm very sorry to hear this man passed from cancer--even though it was years ago, I want to say that his work is still making people stop and say "Hot damn...!" I discovered his maps today, and they're incredible. So, my sincere condolences to his loved ones. I hope you appreciate that people out here in the wilds of the internet still admire and love his work, and likely will for as long as people play RPGs. Scant comfort, I know, but I hope it's not no comfort at all.

In case anyone watches this page: Daniel died last night after years of battling brain cancer. He passed with his family, in their home. He was talented and loved.
I had no idea; I have no words.  I did not know him at all; I was pestering him for an update to Winterhaven and all he said was he was busy and not feeling well.  That was over 2 years ago and...well...wow.  The world has lost a great talent; he will not be forgotten.
I'm having such a hard time accepting this to be true. His talent for cartography was intense, and the maps I've used have forever changed the lives of my players and the people watching our games.
Oh my god. I was looking for a way to contact him for comissions, scrolled down to see this. That is absolutely terrible. How sad.
I'd love to commission you, the two big dungeons you've released here are top-notch quality. I'll e-mail you for more details, hope you're still taking them!
Just found your page today and wow - definitely the best battlemaps I've seen. You deserve to be working for Paizo or WotC. (Not that their maps aren't nice as is) Your other work is great too!

I saw a few of your old comments mentioning a tutorial. Did you ever get around to it? Also on that note, have you ever considered sharing your collection of textures?
